Mealtime Monday: Summer Smoothies

There’s no better way to celebrate the end of the season than with a delicious (and nutritious) summer smoothie. Below are three recipes for healthy summer smoothies that are bound to leave you feeling happy and satisfied. 

MIXED BERRY SMOOTHIE
INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 cups apple juice (you can also use almond milk, skim milk, coconut milk or other flavor of juice)
  • 1 banana sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen mixed berries
  • 3/4 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • Optional garnish: fresh berries and mint sprigs

WATERMELON PEACH SMOOTHIE
INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups chopped watermelon
  • 1 ripe peach sliced
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk (refrigerated, not canned)
  • Handful of ice
  • Mint for garnish

PINEAPPLE KALE SMOOTHIE
INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup 0% fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups cubed pineapple
  • 3 cups baby kale
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 tbsp. hemp seeds
