Valentine’s Day is almost here and there’s no better way to celebrate than making festive desserts. We rounded up some Valentine’s Day treats that are perfect for this love-filled day, regardless of who you’re celebrating with.

RED VELVET SUGAR COOKIES

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar, plus extra for rolling
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon red gel food coloring
  • 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine salt
  • 6 white chocolate peanut butter hearts (Ex: Reese’s)

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH VALENTINE’S HEARTS

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter-softened
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 6 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 7 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chip morsels

For dipping and decoration:

  • oz. semi sweet baking chocolate
  • 5 oz. white chocolate for garnish
  • A few drops of pink or red food colors
