Tell us about yourself…

Work life:

Lauren is an apartment manager. Morgan is a registered dietitian but not currently working. We both work part-time on our Bay Area Moms social media platform.

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood?

“Everything! I love it when they figure something out on their own and are so proud of themselves. It is a moment of, oh my gosh they are growing up! Watching them grow and succeed just makes my heart just melt! Along with all of the hugs and kisses you get” -Lauren

“ There is nothing else like it to me. It’s just the best. The biggest reward for me is when I see my boys treating others kindly, being inclusive, and loving towards others. All the hard work & exhaustion feels completely worth it when you I see that character developing in them” -Morgan

What’s your best “mom-hack” you think other moms could benefit from?

“I use insta cart for grocery delivery and I can’t imagine life without it (especially right after having a baby). Getting kids to do chores and maker it fun is a game changer also. My 4 year old son loves to do dishes and help with laundry. He wants jobs. It feels so much more fun to me when he is involved.”-Morgan

“Go to Costco and get a huge stack of paper plates! You just made a person, you deserve to not have to do dishes for awhile. It is one less thing you have to worry about.” -Lauren

What is the best part about where you live?

The weather! and the endless options of kid activities!

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown:

The Bay Area Discovery Museum is our fav place for kids.

Favorite date night in your hometown: “Dinner at Santana Row then a Double feature movie at the West Wind Drive-in theater.” -Lauren

“We love to go to dinner in Palo Alto and head to watercourse way afterwards. It has a steam shower, hot tub, and cold plunge for pure relaxation.” -Morgan

What are five things that you could not “mom” without:

1.Baby carrier (the Moby Wrap or Solly Wrap for infants and the Ergo when they

are bigger)

  1. Rock’n’play
  2. Binky
  3. The 5 S’s from Happiest Baby
  4. Sleep blanket (Hanna Andersson is our fav)

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do? Watch “This is Us,” take a nice hot bath, and create DIY projects that continue to take up more space in

our not so spacious apartment (which my husband LOVES!). -Lauren

I just love to workout. I can’t miss a day. If I ever have time for myself, you will see me at barre3 or playing soccer in my women’s soccer league. -Morgan

Who are your “mom idols”?

Lauren: My mom had 7 kids so I feel like that is enough of a reason right there. hah! When she was with us she was 100% in the moment and not distracted with anything else. She made you feel important and heard when you were with her. She has the ability to laugh at herself and make those around her laugh too. I really admire Ralphie from Simply on Purpose. She is idealistic, but she learned from her mom. I love their perspective and positivity in the home. I aspire to be like that. I’m so glad she shares so much and that I get to learn from her little by little. She is on instagram @simplyonpurpose.

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them?

Hands down the moms from our church group. We couldn’t survive without them! What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood. ” The first few weeks are hard but it’s not forever. You will be normal again. Try to be apart of a baby group to have a circle of moms who are going through the same struggles as you.” -Lauren

“I wish someone would have told me about pelvic floor physical therapy. I needed extra help recovering and it took me so long to find the right people. Mamas, if you aren’t feeling better physically/emotionally each week then you may need extra help. Don’t be afraid to get into a counselor, use postpartum support, or even take meds if you need them. Be kind to yourself. I couldn’t emphasize more either what Lauren said above that it’s not going to last forever.” -Morgan

How do you balance it all?

We don’t have it all figured out yet, but we take it one day at a time, and are fortunate to have very loving husbands.

If you had a theme song, what would it be?

“Keep your head up” by Andy Grammar -Lauren

“Let it Be” by The Beatles -Morgan

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it:

We want you to meet…

2) Name: Angie Hilem

Age: 35

Kids and ages:Baby boy due July 2019!

Where do you live?

San Francisco but relocating to Berkeley right before Gearapalooza!

Tell us about yourself…

Work life:

Sometimes I say that I’m a professional social media person. What I mean by that is that I teach other business owners how to heighten their social presence online with tried and true strategies either through one-on-one consultations or in workshop settings.

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood?

I feel incredibly blessed that we were able to conceive. I’ve yet to reap any rewards since our little one isn’t earth side as yet.

What is the best part about where you live?

I live a short walk to Hayes Valley, which is incredibly cute, filled with restaurants that are great and various boutiques. We’re also really close to a Bart stop and the Van Ness Muni stop, so most of the city is easily accessible. Our new neighborhood will also be walkable, but more family-focused and with a slower pace.

Favorite date night in your hometown:

We really enjoy walking to a restaurant for an early dinner and catching a movie. It’s been awesome to walk to so many unique places and have a variety of independent movie theaters within reach like The Roxie and Opera Plaza.

What are five things that you could not “mom” without?

After trying to conceive for about 2 years, I saw a sponsored post on social for the Ava Bracelet. It’s a monitor you wear to bed to track your sleep cycle and basal body temperature. Now that I’m pregnant, the app that I used to track my cycle tells me about my growing baby and changes that I’m experiencing, too. I find that app is more detailed than other popular ones. The only other thing that immediately comes to mind are the Birkenstocks and Crocs sandals that I recently purchased and prefer to wear so it’s easy to get out the door.

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do:

Exercise! And read. I prefer fiction but also like an interesting article here and there.

Moms you look up to as women and parents: My fave moms to follow on social are:

@latonyayvette – super stylish and inspiring, Latonya dives deep into issues a lot of folks don’t talk about online. Her honesty is inspiring and I feel like I get to follow along her journey of motherhood.

@kids.eat.in.color – nutritionist and mom, Jennifer shares about her kids and their experiences which in turn is super educational for me! She’s funny and each post teaches me more about nutrition.

@thelotusmethod, which is managed by one of their awesome trainers, Leslie Ylinen. I’ve trained their for the past few months and it’s made all the difference. I feel strong when my first trimester was pretty sad and physically challenging. Though I’m a member, I still learn from the posts!

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them?

My most cherished and trusted mom group is in a small Facebook group and made up of women from a network of groups. My best friend, whom I met in 5th grade, became a mom last year. Though she’s still in NJ where we grew up, I can count on her to answer any questions and give me advice. I’ve got a few friends here in the Bay Area I’m sure I’ll see a lot more of once my baby gets here. In no particular order: @daphnepalomares @hopeisafeather @lbishopphotography

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood: This only applies to pregnancy since I’ve got a few months left before experiencing motherhood, but I wish someone told me that everything in moderation is fine. It wasn’t until I started asking things on social media that friends suggested books like Expecting Better, and now I don’t feel guilty about really needing coffee or wanting ice cream more than usual.

How do you balance it all?

I’m not sure I am!

If you had a theme song, what would it be?

Probably Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger.” Not sure if that’s because it’s my go-to karaoke jam or if it’s my go-to jam because of how powerful it makes me feel.

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it:

When I started my Instagram account and blog, it was all about business. I hesitated to show much of my face or share about my life. Turns out, it’s what performs best! On my account and blog, you’ll find social media tips, moments of friendship, and personal lessons of my body positivity journey. As I await motherhood, I’m thinking about the best ways to introduce my new role and excited to infuse my content with more things lifestyle. We just purchased a little house and I can’t wait to share updates as we get settled and become parents.

We want you to meet…

3) Name: Lacey Calvert Shelton

Age: 32

Kids and ages: 3 year old daughter Dylan, and twins on the way!

Where do you live? Petaluma, CA

Tell us about yourself…

What is the best part about where you live?  I love living in wine country.  It’s the sweet spot with the ocean 20 minutes away, the city 30 minutes away, mountains a few hours away and the best scenery (and wine) a person can ask for!

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown.  We own a VW vanagon and are HUGE beach campers.  Both my husband and I grew up camping with our families, and love the uninterrupted time with our kids in nature.  We love taking the van and family on surf trips, and exploring the outdoors even just minutes from our backyard.

Favorite date night in your hometown.  Our best friends live just a few blocks from us.  So, we love going to their house for gourmet cooked meals from the pizza oven and wine from the cellar.  It’s better than any restaurant in town!

What are five things that you could not “mom” without?  (Products, apps, anything that helps you to be a better mom.  I truly couldn’t mom without my husband and my family.  They support my full time job, and travel lifestyle.  In terms of products, we love the Hatch Nursery light to tell our 3 year old when its time to wake/sleep, our THULE stroller that takes all sorts of terrain and weather, my daughters MicroScoot stroller for our nightly walks as a family, our THULE hiking backpack to carry her throughout the adventures, and Instagram to keep me entertained when my brain needs a break from motherhood 🙂

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do.  I love to pamper myself.  So, if I have a break, I head to the local spa for a facial and a pedicure.  There’s nothing like QUIET alone time and a massage to go with it.

Who are your “mom idols”?  (Moms you look up to as women and parents.)  Oh man, moms are AMAZING.  I’ve never understood the empowerment that becoming a mom entails, and the true amount of work that comes with it.  I look up to fellow working moms who work hard to provide for their family, while still spending as much time with their family as they can.  I also look up to those moms who are at home full time, as they have the hardest jobs out there.  All moms are an inspiration to me, and CHEERS to the power of women creating the future.

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood.   That it’s okay to be SPECIFIC when you need help or support.  No one can read your mind that you are stretched thin or need a nap, and being direct to ask for help is necessary.  A support system makes motherhood much easier.

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it: Being an outdoor mom is something that I always knew that I would be.  I want to instill adventure and travel into my family’s lifestyle, and want to showcase this on my social channels (@laceycalvertshelton).  You won’t find pinterest ideas on my page, but you will find week long backpacking trips with a toddler, living in a van with two dogs and a toddler for a week, and the magic of just enjoying nature as a family!  Plus, there is some humor in there as motherhood might be one of the most hilarious things ever (and with twins on the way, we’re ready for lots of laughs).

For more from Lacey, visit you can follow her on Instagram and Facebook.

We want you to meet…

4) Name: Suzanne Price

Age: 41

Kid(s) and Ages: Hannah, 9, and Amber, 7

Where do you live? San Francisco

Tell us about yourself…

Work life: I am the CEO and Founder of Sprout San Francisco, a chain of natural and organic children’s boutiques with stores in San Francisco, Chicago, and Brooklyn and an e-commerce store. We do extensive research to make sure we know what to look out for in terms of materials and chemicals and offer only the healthiest products for your children in our stores and online.

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood? Watching my kids turn into small people and come up with the most innovative and creative ideas. I just love watching what comes out of their heads.

What’s your best “mom-hack” you think other moms could benefit from? (We all one at least one time or sanity saving tip that everyone would want to know…spill it!) My kids believe that an elf comes at night looking for toys that have been left lying around. He only takes one at a time and you might not notice right away if your favorite toy is missing. But they are scared to leave toys out at night and insist on cleaning up for fear that the elf might take something!

What is the best part about where you live?  I love that in San Francisco you can be outside all year long. That’s amazing when you have kids. The city is also an hour away from so many amazing spots, such as Point Reyes National Seashore, Sonoma, Monterey, that we never have a lack of new places to explore.

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown: Our family likes to take short hikes in the Presidio. We can bring our dog and go for as long or short as the kids want to go, with lots of trees to climb on and under and views of the Golden Gate Bridge along the way.

Favorite date night in your hometown: We live right off of Union Street, where Sprout’s SF store is, and we really love to just walk around our neighborhood, maybe getting a drink at West Coast Wine and walking down to Greens, the vegetarian restaurant in Fort Mason with views of the Bay.

What are 5 things that you could not “mom” without?

Kids’ books – when they were little, we just read books all the time when I didn’t know what else to do with them. I think that helped them become the voracious readers they are today. Now we never go anywhere without a book for each of them.

Napinol – this all organic, 5 ingredient salve can be used as diaper cream, nipple cream, soothes dry hands, and helps prevent my daughter’s eczema outbreaks.

Kangapouch – They are too big now, but when they were little this wearable comforter helped them be cozy and sleep well every night.

Organic velour lovies – My girls quickly got attached to these lovies early on, and I felt great about it since they were all organic cotton and silk, as opposed to the soft, but polyester, lovies that are so popular out there. These lovies still bring them comfort when they need to fall asleep on a long car ride or in a bed away from home.

Carpool partners – Ever since we started preschool, I don’t think I could have survived without finding friends to share carpool responsibilities with, between kids getting to school at different times and all the different after school activities, it takes a village!

What are your 5 must-have items in your diaper bag? Well, I am a little passed diaper bag stage now but we never go out without:

Tissues

Cleanwell hand sanitizing spray

Extra hair ties

Pencils and paper

Filed stainless steel water bottle

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do? Pretty much time away from the kids is spent working, but I do like to travel whenever I can get a break from work, and do yoga to keep my sanity.

Who are your Mom Idols? No question that my mom is my mom idol. My sister and I never had any doubt about her being there for us at any moment if we needed her, and that feeling from her of having someone who is always rooting for you exists to this day.

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them? These days my tribe is very much made up of the parents I’ve met through my children’s school. It’s been amazing, not only to have people going through the same stages of parenthood at the same time, but also willing to help out when they know you are busy without asking anything in return. I’m so grateful for that community.

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood? Ask for help! I think women take pride in trying to do everything on their own, but at some point that really becomes in possible. Better to gather what help around you when you can before you reach your breaking point.

How do you balance it all? I don’t know that I do balance it all well, but I know what my priorities are, and what can be let go sometimes. I’ve also learned what it’s okay to say no to. If you had a theme song, what would it be? I get by with a little help from my friends.

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it. The best way to know what I care about is to follow @sproutsanfrancisco on instagram. That’s where I keep our customers up to date on the latest research and make sure they know what I know about any potentially harmful chemicals in our environment.

For more from Suzanne & Sprout, visit you can follow her on Instagram and Facebook.

We want you to meet…

5) Name: Caroline Curran

Age: 33

Kid(s) and Ages: Lillian (3) and Audrey (6 months)

Where do you live? San Francisco, CA

Tell us about yourself…

Work life: I’m the Founder and CEO of The Bundle of Joy, an ecommerce site that works with corporate clients on their employee gifts when they have a new baby! We source, curate and ship Bundles directly to employees’ homes on behalf of their employers. It’s the perfect way for employers to let their new parents know they care.

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood? The biggest one…hard to say! Most recently, it has been the tiny moments where our toddler makes us genuinely laugh or our newborn reaches a new milestone.

What’s your best “mom-hack” you think other moms could benefit from? (We all one at least one time or sanity saving tip that everyone would want to know…spill it!) I load the car the night before so that I can walk down the stairs to our garage with the girls and not have to carry and balance a million things.

What is the best part about where you live? San Francisco is my hometown so the best part is having my family all around! The best part about San Francisco is in the constant innovation and entrepreneurial spirit that permeates the city.

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown. Go to the SF Zoo!

Favorite date night in your hometown. Souvla!! If you have not had Souvla Chicken Salad before—you NEED to try it!!

What are 5 things that you could not “mom” without? Our Amazon Cloud Camera UppaBaby Cruz Stroller with the Piggy Back ride- along Caviar food delivery service (Souvla, delivered!!) the string of white Christmas lights we have on Lillian’s bunk beds with a dimmer so we can read before bed and then use them as a nightlight!

What are your 5 must-have items in your diaper bag? Water wipes, Aquafor, baby nail clippers, a hat for Audrey, and snacks.

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do? Well, right now I don’t really have time off since I am dedicating my time to Audrey but when both girls are in school I really love to read, do photography, and write my blog Just Simple Joys.

Who are your “mom idols?”   My mom and my sisters!

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them? Everyone who is a mom is in my tribe! But my smaller, more intimate group is a collection of women who are kind and funny!

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood? You ready for this one?! You will spend a looooooot more time than you want to cleaning your house. Becoming a mom means all you do is clean.

How do you balance it all? Everyone says they don’t balance it all, but to be honest, I feel like I do! Maybe I’m not balanced but I feel that way! I have a lot of support from my husband, my parents, my siblings, my in-laws, Amazon, Whole Foods delivery, and our community at Lillian’s school. I don’t evaluate balance on a daily scale, I view it over a longer period of time. I think the first year of your baby’s life things are supposed to be completely unbalanced. Right now, Audrey is six months and she and Lillian have pretty much been my entire world. I make almost all decisions based on them. However, right before Audrey was born I was really focused on building my business so that it could take a dip in attention after she was born. To me, balance is not about doing everything, every day 100%. It’s about looking at life and seeing did I spend enough time on what I wanted to spend it on- family, work, self- care, travel, education, romance, etc.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? I have two! Jesse’s Girl and Sweet Caroline! My husband Jesse and I have been married for almost seven years and to this day, people still comment how much fun it was to dance to those two songs at our wedding! The place went nuts!! But since I played a lot of sports growing up, Queen and any other song that was on our basketball warmup playlist always gets me pumped up!

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it: My blog, Just Simple Joys (www.justsimplejoys.com) is all about celebrating the little moments in life. I started writing in 2014 under Perfect 10 SF because I have a size 10 shoe- it was a joke. But as I became a mom, and started wearing waaaay less high things that interest and inspire me. I always love featuring female entrepreneurs, as well as moms who launch new companies! My Instagram @CarolineMCurran is just a place where I share what inspires me. My company The Bundle of Joy (www.givethebundleofjoy.com) is a place where you can shop the Bundles we’ve curated for new parents- there’s even something for Dad! Our Dad Swag Bundle is one of our best sellers!

We want you to meet…

6) Name: Natasha Arora

Age: 29

Kid(s) and Ages: Expecting baby #1 August 2, 2019!

Where do you live?  San Francisco

Tell us about yourself…

Where do you work? I am a full-time Tech Start-Up attorney (practicing for the past 4 years). I also run a Couture Indian bridal company, bZAIbyNatashaArora, based out of SF, along with our e-commerce site,  zaibynatashaarora.com, which features curated designers from Indian as well as our pret line of clothing and accessories. We create custom, one-of-a-kind pieces for brides looking to blend their Eastern heritage with their Western styles.

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood? The idea that my best friend/favorite person (my husband) and I created something together that is going to represent us, is amazing. My pregnancy has been hard with non stop nausea and severe back pain, but I know it’ll be worth it once we get to input everything we have into building up this little human!

What’s your best “mom-hack” you think other moms could benefit from? (We all one at least one time or sanity saving tip that everyone would want to know…spill it!) A Peloton – getting out to the gym is a no go and even when pregnant, it’s getting harder and harder. My girlfriends with kids, and I, all swear by the Peloton. It’s quick, efficient, and can be done when a baby naps for 20 mins! Also, another great tip for those fashion moms out there, pick a theme for your kids wardrobe and stick to it for a season/the year. If you do sunset hues, or blue tones, make sure the kids have staple items that are all interchangeable, so they look put together and you can easily throw together an outfit (especially when something is in the wash or they get it dirty) with a variety of options! It’s like a capsule wardrobe for adults, but here you just need more because, lets face it, a lot of their clothes get dirty.

What is the best part about where you live? It’s the perfect pace of life, with the right people who are all trying to innovate and find the newest/best thing to bring to the world. It’s where innovation happens and as a lawyer in the start-up world, I love that I get to play a part in that.

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown. Favorite thing to do in SF with my nephew and what I’ll definitely do with my new baby girl, is head on over to Golden Gate park to explore. There is SO much learning for kids to do in this city and it’s all really close/walking distances.

Favorite date night in your hometown. Fav date night for us has to start a little earlier in the day, because frankly, we sleep early. We’ll always do an afternoon tea around 4/5pm with the best scones and crumpets in town, at crown and crumpet in japan town, and then head out to drinks and a light dinner at one of our fav restaurants like Beretta, Dosa, or the new hottest spot in SF. What are 5 things that you could not “mom”; without? Meal prepping and planning – it’s so important to plan ahead and be aware of what you’re putting into your body.

Google tasks – it’s on my phone, I can always access it, and it keeps track of all my lists whether it be home, lawyer work, or my side hustle.

Amazon – seriously, what did we do before we had prime memberships?

What are your 5 must-have items in your diaper bag? Wet wipes, extra change of clothes, an accessory because you never know when it’s a photo op, always have a snack or two, and a distracting toy.

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do? Work out. If I have me time – you will find me at a pilates reformer class or barry’s bootcamp working on getting my physical and mental fitness in shape.

Who are your “mom idols?” Nancy Anderson fit – she is amazing and always finding ways to keep her family healthy. Chriselle Lim – she really can do it all. She’s off to Paris fashion week with a 3-month old one minute, and a launching a clothing brand the next.

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them? My mom tribe is comprised of working professionals like myself who are into fitness, fashion, and tech. It’s hard to find woman who understand a super type A and over enthusiastic personality that comes along with being a lawyer, a business woman and mom. My tribe is also hustling and always there for me with advice on the newest gadgets, fitness, or fashion hacks to make this stage in life easier (or look better).

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood? I really wish someone would give me a no BS guide to what I really need / don’t need to buy. I know it’s very baby dependent, but I want to know what things will make my life, as a working professional in a big urban city, easier and what things aren’t worth the price tag and it’s so hard to find that.

How do you balance it all? I’m picky with my time and plan ahead and hey, sometimes I just don’t balance it all. I’ve listed out a few things below and how I approach them.

I make an effort to put the things I love at the forefront, so working out, which is very important to me, my husband just has to be understanding about. It’s my one thing. Food, I use apps like Instacart, amazon, and Costco delivery to save us time. Seeing my friends is hard, but I schedule things a month or even more in advance and tell myself not to be flaky. I calendar EVERYTHING and even if my partner is going, I will invite him to my calendar so he knows what I’m doing just in case I forget to tell him. I am a sale shopper and I use apps like honey to watch for sales/tell me when to buy.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? Dinero (jlo and cardi b) – because 1) JLO is a goddess, 2) Cardi B is a boss, 3) who doesn’t want to dance when they hear this song, and 4) I’m all about hustling.

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it.  My Instagram right now focuses on my personal life, balancing between working and wanting to be fashionable/fit especially while being pregnant or dealing with post-pregnancy body, my beauty hacks, and gearing up to be a new mom. I’m always letting my followers know about awesome fashion finds and especially looks for less, as well as sharing my workout motivations and beauty routines/new beauty products that I try. My blog, the bZAIbabe will be launching soon and it will include even more detail on fitness, fashion (with shoppable links), beauty routines, and of course, motherhood.

We want you to meet…

7) Name: Laura

Age: 35

Kid(s) and Ages: I have two boys aged 2 and almost 4

Where do you live? San Francisco

Tell us about yourself…

Work life: I work in the biotech industry

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood? Watching my children grow, learn and explore the world

What’s your best “mom-hack” you think other moms could benefit from? (We all one at least one time or sanity saving tip that everyone would want to know…spill it!)  Take (and ask for) all the help you can get. The saying “it takes a village to raise a child” is so true to me! With almost no family here in the US, our friends were a huge help when we brought our first son into the world and even now that we have two toddlers. If friends offer their help, take them up on it, and you’ll see how much of a difference it can make.

What is the best part about where you live?  San Francisco is such a unique and magical city. Even after 10 years living here, I feel like there’s always something new going on, something fun to discover. To me, no other city has that many cool spots where your adult eyes will brighten up like a child’s. There are lots of quirky pop-ups events where you’ll think “Only in SF!” and many hidden gems. Each neighborhood has its own personality and it takes a while to fully soak in the vibe of the city.

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown.  It has to be going to the beach!Baker beach and ocean beach are my favorite. We love exploring new playgrounds, too!

Favorite date night in your hometown.  My husband and I both love live music and he’s a big blues fan, so you may find us at Biscuit and Blues downtown SF or Elis Miles High Club in Oakland.

What are 5 things that you could not “mom” without?

  • I could not mom without everyone helping me. First, my daycare caretaker, Ana Maria, who’s almost like a second mama to my boys. And our favorite babysitters, the kid’s aunties.

  • I’m a pretty minimalist mom so I don’t usually lots of “mom” gear but when my boys were younger, I could not live without my Ergo 360 babycarrier.

  • Now that the boys are toddlers, my go-to is our Babyzen Yoyo stroller, perfect for small space living, traveling and so sturdy!

  • Facebook and Instagram mom groups, the best place for me to find advice and support!

  • Musical books for my kids – we love the ones in French from Grund Editions!

What are your 5 must-have items in your diaper bag?

  • Snacks

  • my Skiphop diaper changer loaded with diapers and wipes

  • Tissues

  • Sun hats for the boys

  • Hand sanitizer

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do? I like to relax and read a book, go swimming and spend my time online.

Who are your “mom idols”?  It has to be my own mom: she raised 4 kids and worked full time through all of that. She also seems to have done this with so much ease and elegance!

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them?  I met many of my mom friends through Facebook and Instagram groups – so a big shoutout to social media helping us being more connected and meeting new people.

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood?Things keep changing when you have littles. They outgrow their clothes, they have new interests, they get sick, they need new stuff, they change their mind, they grow up, they regress. When it’s hard, remember it’s all temporary. And when it’s good, cherish those moments because they won’t last.

How do you balance it all?  I don’t. Some days I feel like my husband and I deserve an award for keeping it all balanced  – like last night when I put both boys to bed and they both fell asleep right away! Most days it’s just chaos and we simply embrace it.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? All you need is love by the Beatles

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it: I share moments of my motherhood journey on Instagram, raising two little explorers as a French expat family in the US. We love music and the outdoors and I’m passionate about bilingualism, cultural differences and education. I like to share what I love and tell you about hidden gems I found in the Bay area and around the world. The reason why I’m doing this is because I love to connect with other mamas so don’t hesitate to direct message me on Instagram, too.
