Rudy + Andy: Top Baby Registry Items

Share:

It’s not always easy when it comes time to choose baby registry items, is it?  The options can be overwhelming and the gear is changing all the time.  We love sharing and showing our top baby registry picks across the country at our Gearapalooza stops with Thebabyguynyc.  At each stop, expectant and new parents can try out all of the latest gear and ask all questions.  What works best for one family might not be best for another so it’s great to be able to try everything out to make the best fit for you….which is why we were so excited to catch up with JAM TV Producer, Rudy, and his husband, Andy, on their top registry picks for their newborn girl coming in November 2019!

(1.) Skip Hop Light-Up Diaper Caddy

Every parent needs a good diaper caddy to keep yourself organized and ready for changes.  This product was recommended to us as the “must have” for late night diaper duty. The small light lets you see what you need without waking the baby.

(2.) Rockabye Baby!  Lullaby Renditions Queen, Lady Gaga, Madonna, The Beatles

We know that babies love music and a good lullabye may be the secret to peaceful sleep.  We think that it is never too early to introduce our baby girl to great music – and rendenditons that won’t drive us crazy on the 100th play.

(3.) The Ultimate Guide for Gay Dads: Everything You Need to Know about LGBTQ Parenting But Are (Mostly) Afraid to Ask

This book is easy to read and has realistic and helpful advice.  It uses humor to answer a lot of questions and gives advice in specific scenarios that are unique to LGBTQ parents.

(4.) Youke Ola Baby Diaper Backpack

Finding a diaper bag that works for a man has been harder than we thought.  We like this bag for its size, it’s enclosed changing pad and the usb charging port.  It is practical and trendy!

(5.) Airport Tag Onesies

This  independent company has some fun travel inspired onesies, including ones that references how people turn spoons into pretend airplanes

(6.) UppaBaby Vista Stroller

When talking with friends, there was one overwhelming recommendation: The UppaBaby Vista Stroller.  Yes, it is expensive – but it is worth every penny. It is lightweight, easy to steer and was the only stroller we could both open and close without embarrassing ourselves in the store!

(7.) Fresh Scents Scent Packets in Baby Powder

This product will make everyone say, “your baby smells so good.”  Put one of these packets in your drawer and all of your baby’s clothes will have the freshest smell.

(8.) 5 pack of Disney Princess Bodysuits

These are fun, sparkly and easy to put on.  Plus, every little girl should become a princess as early as possible.

(9.) Ubbi Diaper Pail

One of our friends sold us on this product because of its convenience.  Unlike some of the competitors, this diaper pail uses regular garbage bags and really locks in foul smells.

(10.) Aquaphor Healing Ointment

This product is a miracle worker for diaper rash!  We have a friend who uses it during every diaper change and has never had a cranky, itchy baby.  We love this product!

(11.) Halo Dream Nest 3in1 Breathable Portable Crib

For the pack and plays, we liked the design and breathability of this product.    Plus, the built in changing table is super convenient.

(12.) Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder

Our surrogate recommended this feeder as a “must have” when introducing solid foods to the baby.

(13.) Little Feminist Board Book Set

The future is female and it never too early to start reading about it!

(14.) Baby BanZ EarBanZ Infant Hearing Protection

We love concerts and want our daughter to join us for the fun.  These child headphones are stylish and are ready for Lollapalooza!

(15.) Dad Jokes for Kids and Their Adults

In our full embrace of becoming parents, we believe that one can never start too early on mastering the art of dad jokes.
