We Want You To Meet…

Name: Jenna Hutchinson

Age: 31

Kids: Lilah Rae- 6 months old

Where do you live? I live in Winnipeg but am back and fourth between there and Toronto as my husband plays for the Leafs!

Tell us a little bit about yourself…

Work life: I co-own Jenna Rae Cakes in Winnipeg with my twin sister Ashley! It is a boutique bakery known for our macarons, cookie sandwiches, custom cakes and more. We currently have two locations and over 30 staff!

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood? The biggest reward of motherhood has just been slowing down in the best way possible, and loving every moment instead of racing through life constantly working and thinking about the next thing.

What’s your best “mom-hack” you think other moms could benefit from? (We all one at least one time or sanity saving tip that everyone would want to know…spill it!) Hmmm I’d have to say all the toys! Her play mats and rocking chairs and soothies are life savers! They are all around both of my homes ready to distract when needed.

What is the best part about where you live? I get to call two places home these days! Winnipeg is so great to live in. The winters are very cold, but the community is so warm and welcoming and so supportive of small businesses. I love it there! Toronto is also a great place to live because it is huge and there’s an endless amount of good restaurants to try, and so many things to do.

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown: The favorite thing to do with Lilah in Winnipeg is go to the Forks! We have a location there, and it’s just such a great local spot to walk around, shop, eat and have a drink no matter what the time of year.

Favorite date night in your hometown: Favorite date night (or day) in Winnipeg would have to be the Scandinavian spa, thermëa! It’s my favorite place in the city.

What are 5 things that you could not “mom” without? Travel sound machine, soother, rattle (any kind!!), skip hop play mat, and her bumbo chair.

What are your 5 must-have items in your diaper bag?Honest wipes, diapers, spare onesie, hat and sip on shoes for her!

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do?  In my spare time I like to work! And shop 🙂

Who are your “mom idols”? I would have to say my own parents, and my sister Ashley and her husband trev do such a great job while working so hard on the business.

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them? I am lucky and have a lot of close friends who have young babies, I didn’t have to look very far 🙂

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood?Everyone tells you this, but it honestly does go by so much faster than you think. Enjoy every good and not so good moments because they are fleeting!

How do you balance it all?  I’ll let you know when I feel like I have everything balanced! It’s an ongoing struggle, but I have a really good support system.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? This is the song that never ends- my daughter loves it when I sing it to her and it’s the only song in my head currently haha

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it: We are Jenna Rae Cakes and @jennaraecakes for everything! I recently started a YouTube channel as well under the same name for video tutorials on cake decorating! We also ship macarons Canada wide, with more things coming to our online shop soon at www.jennaraecakes.com

We Want You To Meet…

Name: Ashley Trethart

Age: 33

Kid(s) and Ages: Mason, 11 Months

Where do you live? Winnipeg, Manitoba

Tell us a little bit about yourself…

Work life I’m currently on maternity leave, but am going back to work this fall to my role as the HR Manager of Kitchen Craft of Canada

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood? The biggest reward of motherhood honestly is just being a mommy. We struggled with infertility for years and were blessed to have Mason through IVF. He is my greatest accomplishment.

What’s your best “mom-hack” you think other moms could benefit from? Hmm I wish I had more mom hacks! Apps can be your best friend. Some of our favourites are: Huckleberry, The Wonder Weeks, and Kinedu

What is the best part about where you live? The best part about living in Winnipeg for me is being so close to the water. I love that we can be at the beach in half an hour, or drive a little further and have the option of another five or six beaches or to go to the cabin. Mason has had so much fun this summer at the beach and I can’t wait to make more memories with him.

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown. One of our favourite things to do with Mason is to take him to the Winnipeg Zoo. Each time we go, something different catches his eye and it is magical to watch the world through his eyes. He loves the seals and the polar bears!

Favorite date night in your hometown. One of our favourite date nights is simply going out for a nice dinner! With a baby, nights out are a rare occasion. So whenever we are able, we love to get dressed up and go to our favourite restaurant on the city, Infernos Bistro.

What are 5 things that you could not “mom” without?  Five things I could not mom without are: my husband, bedtime and naptime routines, a sound machine, strong coffee and a good glass of red wine!

What are your 5 must-have items in your diaper bag? Five must haves for the diaper bag other than the obvious bottles, diapers and wipes are: a change of clothes (diaper blowouts guys), toys, a food pouch, portable sound machine (just in case) and snacks!

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do? When I do get time for myself I like to go for coffee or read a book. I have a terrible habit of playing on my phone so I am really trying to find more productive ways to occupy my time!

Who are your “mom idols”?  My mom idols are absolutely my mom and mother in law. My mom was my everything growing up, and still is. She gave her all to me and I really hope to be half the mom she is. She is an amazing grandma to Mason and he has completely stolen her heart. My mother in law raised four kids and one of course is my loving husband. The values she instilled in my husband are ones I plan to pass down to Mason.

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them? The biggest part of my mom tribe includes my bottlesnblondes other half Kayla Murray. We send endless texts to each other daily, and it has been that way since we were pregnant! I could not have survived without here. I also have some other fabulous mommy friends. We may not get to see each other as often as we’d like, but whenever any of us is struggling or has a question, we know we can always reach out and ask anything without any fear of judgment. It the best.

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood? One piece of advice for new moms is to try as much as you can to be in the moment with your babies and to give yourself grace. There will always be laundry and your house will never be as clean as it was before you had kids, but your heart will never be as full

How do you balance it all? I don’t! At the end of every day, there are things on my to-do list that just don’t get finished. And I had to learn that’s ok. I do the best I can and know that Mason is and should be my number one priority

If you had a theme song, what would it be? My theme song would be “Perfect” by Pink. I love the message in this song and sometimes we need to remind ourselves that we are rockstars!

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it: Our instagram page @bottlesnblondes is a space for us mamas to share all the things that we are passionate about. We love being moms and want for encourage and inspire all women to be the best version of themselves. Whether you’re into beauty, fashion, health and wellness, baby products or a good motivational quote to help uplift your spirit, we’ve got you.

We Want You To Meet…

Name: Kayla Murray

Age: 32

Kid(s) and Ages: Nora (3), Wynn (10 months)

Where do you live? Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Tell us a little bit about yourself…

Work life: I work for Canada Life as an insurance wholesaler for disability and critical illness insurance and I am also a bootcamp instructor for the Total Package Fitness. As an Insurance Wholesaler, I work with financial advisors to help them educate their clients on how disability and critical illness insurance can compliment their financial plan.

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood? By far the biggest reward of motherhood has been experiencing the love I feel for my children. People always talk about how it is a love like no another and I could not agree more. My children give my life purpose and I could not imagine my life without them.

What’s your best “mom-hack” you think other moms could benefit from? (We all one at least one time or sanity saving tip that everyone would want to know…spill it!) Always pack an extra outfit for your kids when you go out and an extra top for you (especially if you have a newborn). You never know what can happen during an outing and having an extra outfit in the event of a blowout or food disaster is so helpful! And don’t underestimate how helpful it is to have another top for yourself! Babies spit up a ton! Being a bit more prepared makes all the difference.

What is the best part about where you live? The thing I love the most about Winnipeg has to be the people. Everyone is so friendly! You can always count on a smile or a wave from a random stranger no matter where you are! We truly are “friendly” here in Manitoba!

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown.  We love taking our kids to the park. There are so many parks that are close to where we live. Spending time outdoors is so good for children and we try to get outside as much as we can while the weather is nice!

Favorite date night in your hometown. We have such an amazing food scene here in Winnipeg. There are so many amazing restaurants in our city! We are foodies and winos at heart! We love trying out new restaurants and experiencing all that our city has to offer when it comes to food & drink!

What are 5 things that you could not “mom” without?

I can only pick 5!? I would have to say:

  1. Sound Machine (both my kids use sound machines at night and it has made such a big difference in how well they sleep)
  2. Snacks! Does that count?? It never fails that one child is hungry when we are out. Having snacks that are quick and convenient is a lifesaver for dealing with potential meltdowns. We swear by the LoveChild pouches! Both my kids love all of their flavors.
  3. Uppababy Stroller- We use this almost everyday! I love how easy it is to use and sometimes it is really nice to be able to strap the kids in the stroller when you are out so you are not running in a million directions!
  4. Summer Infant Video Baby Monitor- Aside from the sound machine this is the item that we use the most. I feel so much more comfortable being able to see my kids on the monitor. I also love the fact that multiple cameras can be hooked up to one monitor!
  5. The Wonder Weeks app- this app was a life saver with both of my children. It was so helpful to know when they are going through a leap and why they might be extra fussy or clingy. I would recommend that every new mom download it!

What are your 5 must-have items in your diaper bag?

  1. Snacks! We never leave home without an assortment of snacks. If I for some reason forget to pack snacks, I always hear it from my toddler.
  2. An extra outfit- Saves you from transporting a naked baby home just in case you have an accident!
  3. Extra diapers- see above
  4. Hand wipes or hand sanitizer
  5. Lip Balm- this is about the only thing that is mine in our diaper bag but I couldn’t live without it!

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do? I am such a big advocate for Mom’s making time for themselves. It keeps me sane and makes me a better Mom. I am definitely a fitness junkie, so if i have some time to myself you will catch me at a bootcamp or going for a run. I find it helps me clear my head and blow off some much needed steam!

Who are your “mom idols”?  My Mom is definitely my idol. She is such an amazing woman and she also happens to be my best friend. She raised 4 children and is such a wonderful Nana to my girls. She is strong and caring and lights up every room she is in. If i can be half the mother she is I will be happy!

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them? I am lucky enough to still be extremely close to lots of my girlfriends that I went to school with. We have all been friends since junior high and all happen to have children that are the same age. It is so cool to see all of our children growing up together and it has been so helpful to have such a supportive group of women to go through motherhood with.

Of course I cannot forget my beautiful Bottles N Blondes partner and cousin, Ashley. Having our babies less than a week apart has been so incredibly special. We text each other multiple times a day and are always there to support each other no matter what.

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood? The best piece of advice that I would offer is to enjoy and soak in every moment you can. It is so cliche, but it really does go by so fast. It is so easy to worry about every little thing and miss out actually really enjoying your baby. I worried too much with my first and felt like I missed out on some things. We were so much more relaxed with our second baby and really got to enjoy her so much more.

How do you balance it all? I am still honestly trying to figure that out! Some days I feel like I have it all together other days I am all over the place and feel like I am failing. I try to be kind to myself and remember that I am not perfect and that is totally okay. I also have an amazing husband who is so supportive and the most amazing father. I couldn’t do it without him.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? I am loving Lizzo lately, she is so inspiring. I would have to say her song “Good as Hell” would be my theme song lately!

We Want You To Meet…

Name: Natasha Klassen

Age: 24

Kids: Addison, 1 on September 20th

Where do you live? Winnipeg, MB

Tell us a little bit about yourself…

I am a Dental Hygienist at River Park Dental 😁

The biggest reward of motherhood is when you just look into your babies eyes and know you made that perfect little human!

The best part of living in Winnipeg is having both of our families very close to us.

My favourite thing to do with Addison is to go to the zoo! She absolutely loves to watch all the animals and walking around in the fresh air.

Our favourite date night is to go for dinner than to a movie!

5 must have mom products:

  1. Baby swing for those early days!
  2. A huge diaper bag to fit everything
  3. A “baby jail” aka play area that you can let your babe play in while you need to get something done, like cleaning
  4. An exersaucer
  5. A portable bath tub

5 must have diaper bag items

  1. Bum cream
  2. Diapers/ wipes
  3. Toy
  4. Changing mat
  5. Snacks!!

I usually take my free time to take care of my Instagram world! I don’t like to take time away from Addison on Instagram.

The number one mom that I look up to is my own! She is the best mom I know ♥️

My mom tribe consists of a lot of moms that I know in person or friends I’ve met on Instagram! I have a great group of moms I can always go to with my questions and I’m so thankful for them!

One piece of advice I’d love to have known before having Addison is that you’re never going to be perfect and don’t sweat the small stuff!

I balance everything by dedicating a certain amount of time for different areas of my life, if I can’t get everything done in one day I don’t worry and get it done the next!

I started my Instagram page @tashaklassen to be able to let my friends and family follow along Addisons life and for them to be able to watch her grow! I didn’t ever think I would get into the influencing world but I absolutely love it and I love all the people that I have met along the way. ♥️ I always love when people reach out to me! I’ve met some of my best friends and people who I talk to everyday from this platform and I am so thankful for it.

We Want You To Meet…

Name: Oksana Katchanovski

Age: 29

Kid(s) and Ages: Amelia – 1 year

Where do you live? Winnipeg, CA

Tell us a little bit about yourself…

Work life: I worked for the Winnipeg School Division in Special Education before having my daughter. I have decided not to return back to work and stay home with my daughter, and return to University next term.

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood? Absolutely everything! I loved watching her grow from a tiny newborn to this rambunctious, sassy toddler. Experiencing all of her “firsts” was so special.

What’s your best “mom-hack” you think other moms could benefit from? (We all one at least one time or sanity saving tip that everyone would want to know…spill it!) Restock your diaper bag as soon as you get home from an outing. There were so many times we grabbed the bag and went out, just to realize we were out of diapers, wipes or forgot to throw in her favorite pacifier. I learned to make sure I restock everything we need for the next outing, as soon as we come home from the last.

What is the best part about where you live? We have so many parks and beaches only a short drive from the city. We love going for walks on trails and seeing new things.

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown. We love the Zoo! It is Amelia’s favorite place lately. I’ll be honest, she does enjoy a good trip to the mall. She is always so well behaved and loves looking at things.

Favorite date night in your hometown. My husband and I used to go out all the time. I can honestly say we haven’t had a date night without our daughter but when we do go out, we love going out to eat.

What are 5 things that you could not “mom” without?  A good stroller (we have the Nuna Mixx2), An organized diaper bag, Flipp App to find the best diaper deals, An endless supply hair elastics and dry shampoo.

What are your 5 must-have items in your diaper bag? A good diaper cream, Tylenol (for myself and the baby), Hand sanitizer, Wet Wipes, and an extra Wubbanub

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do? I love to shop. I even enjoy grocery shopping.

Who are your “mom idols”?  I love Aaryn Williams. I actually started watching her YouTube before I got married and she convinced me I didn’t want to wait any longer to start a family.

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them? I don’t have a lot of friends that have children the same age as my daughter, but I met a few moms here in Winnipeg that I love and have babes that are almost the same age as Amelia.

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood? There is no one right way to parent. It’s okay to tell other people you don’t want their advice and to listen to your gut.

How do you balance it all?  I have a hard time balancing everything still. My husband has a busy work schedule and is out of town a lot. It’s okay not to have everything perfect and organized. Spending quality time with my daughter is more important than finishing the laundry or doing the dishes before bed. I have learned to let go, and just go with the flow.

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it:  With both my blog and IG, I love trying products and sharing my thoughts. I researched so much about every single product I purchased before having my daughter. I really believe in making educated purchasing decisions and I love helping other moms decide what products would work for them. I’ve shared my journey on my blog with how I got pregnant, despite having the odds against us, to try and give other women who have PCOS hope and maybe a little bit of laughter in what can be a very emotional journey.

We Want You To Meet…

Name: Nita Sharda

Age: 33

Kid(s) and Ages: Two boys. Jaidev 2.5 years old. Luksh 4 months old.

Where do you live? Winnipeg, affectionately known as WinterPeg.

Tell us a little bit about yourself…

Work life:  I see myself as a nutrition and food educator. By training, I’m a Registered Dietitian and my (so far) ten year career has taken me to so many places. While I specialize in geriatric care working in person care homes, I was inspired by my son to delve into the research around feeding babies and pediatric nutrition. In my local city, I’m now known as an expert in this area and I host multiple (sold out) workshops teaching parents how to introduce food to their babies. I also offer the service privately to families in their homes. It’s a special thing – some days, I leave their home with tears in my eyes knowing I’m helping build confidence in parents so they can feed their baby the best way they know how.

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood?  This is a tough one. I think mostly, how humbled my children have made me. I now see life with a new lens. They’ve taught me to be a much more compassionate human being as a professional but also as just an ordinary person.

What’s your best “mom-hack” you think other moms could benefit from? (We all one at least one time or sanity saving tip that everyone would want to know…spill it!)  When packing lunches, pack 2 – 3 lunches at once and store them in the fridge rather than packing a lunch every night!

What is the best part about where you live? How supportive the Winnipeg community is of local champions.

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown.  We love to walk over to The Forks, a local and central historic site. When we get there, we pick up coffee and babycinno’s, a cinnamon bun and just people watch.

Favorite date night in your hometown. We have some amazing chefs in our city. For me, the perfect date night is dinner at Seggovia followed by a movie at Grant Park Theatre (Best. Seats. Ever.).

What are 5 things that you could not “mom” without? My iPhone

My SkipHop Diaper BackPack

Sound Machine

My breast pump

Lanolin cream (especially in the beginning!)

What are your 5 must-have items in your diaper bag? Burp Cloths Wipes and Diapers Hand sanitzer A good book for toddler (and me) A pretty swaddle

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do? Stay up to date on nutrition trends and information! Scroll through Instagram. “Pretend” online shopping. Listening to music. Dream up new recipes!

Who are your “mom idols”?  Michelle Obama!

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them? My mom tribe includes mothers of all ages ranging from women in their 30’s all the way to 60! The majority of these women were a part of my tribe well before I became a mother. In particular, as a South Asian woman, I love my fellow South Asian mama tribe as we have similar celebrations and cultural preferences with the way in which we hope/aim to raise our little ones.

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood? There are two things. The first is that there is such a thing as “cluster feeding”. I didn’t realize this. And on days 4 and 5 when all my baby wanted to do was nurse, I thought I was going to break. Literally. Just knowing that that would happen, would have lightened the load. Luckily, I made it through! The other piece of advice I wish I received was the reality of how challenging it is to raise two children close in age. Even as I write this, I’m in shock at how amazing, beautiful but also how difficult the last four months have been. Only now are we beginning to settle into a new tempo with my new family. A toddler and a newborn are physically, emotionally and mentally exhausting. They’re still the best reason to turn your life upside down 😉

How do you balance it all? I lean on my supports. This means, ensuring I’m communicating openly about expectations with my boss, my parents, my inlaws, my cousins, siblings, peers etc. I’m so fortunate to have such an amazing tribe that live nearby! If you had a theme song, what would it be? Not sure – but I dig Macy Gray – Sweet Sweet Baby.

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it: My fight song is to help people feel at ease about food. In this day and age, it’s easy to be forced into decisions based on fear, but I want people to know we’re living in the golden age. Being millennial parents isn’t easy. Food is so so so much more than calories in and calories out. It’s more than a pretty plate. It’s more than even just darn nutrition. It’s about culture, values, community and relationships with others but also ourselves. For this reason, it’s such an honor for me to be a part of this milestone that babies go through. My ultimate goal is to reach families and share recipes, relatable food tips, decrease meal time struggles, share hacks and of course offer my services in clinical nutrition when it’s necessary. @nita_sharda www.carrotsandcake.ca https://www.facebook.com/carrotsandcakeconsulting/

We Want You To Meet…

Name: Jessica Wittick

Age: 31

Kid(s) and Ages: One daughter, 17 months

Where do you live? Winnipeg, Manitoba

Tell us a little bit about yourself…

Work life: I’m a work-from-home medical transcriptionist, based at Credit Valley Hospital in Toronto, ON.

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood?  Watching your little one learn new things.  You see them “get” the simplest things, and get so excited about it, and it’s such a great feeling!

What’s your best “mom-hack” you think other moms could benefit from? (We all one at least one time or sanity saving tip that everyone would want to know…spill it!)  Honestly, I can’t say I really have any hacks.  Something that has really helped me though since I work from home, is creating a safe space where I know I don’t need to worry about my daughter getting into anything, and she can just roam free!

What is the best part about where you live?  I love how Winnipeg is so multicultural.  You can walk down different streets and feel like you’re in different parts of the world! But I’d have to say the best part for me, is that all my family and friends live here! I’ve moved around a lot in the past, and what came out of that was realizing home really is where the heart is.  It doesn’t matter where I am, as long as you’re surrounded by friends and family, that’s where I’m happy.

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown.  So many things! I love bringing Logan to places that are nostalgic for me.  Places I have memories of, with my mom taking me there when I was little.  The Forks, Fort Whyte, The Zoo, Manitoba Museum, Children’s Museum, Tinkertown, the list goes on!

Favorite date night in your hometown. Probably dinner and a movie.

What are 5 things that you could not “mom” without? Honestly right now I gotta say The Wiggles hahaha.

What are your 5 must-have items in your diaper bag? Diapers, wipes, snacks, water, and usually my wallet.

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do?  Catch up on all of my shows that my husband refuses to watch with me.

Who are your “mom idols”?  My mom, definitely, and my grandma.

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them? I actually don’t have a mom tribe.  Like at all haha. None of my close friends have kids!

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood?  The best advise is to not take other people’s advice, in my opinion.  Everybody tries to imprint onto you what they did with their child, and that may not be right for you.  There’s no rule book on how to parent, so just wing it!

How do you balance it all?  With working from home I’ve been super blessed with not really having too much to “balance.”  I do have deadlines and quotas that need to be met, but my husband is super great at taking full on dad mode once he gets home from work, so that I’m able to finish up any work I need to get done.  With Lo entering her toddler years she does love playing with other kids, so rather than dishing out all the $$$ on daycare, since we don’t need it, I take her to the gym with me every day where there is a little daycare there for her to play in 😊  It’s great for her, and gives me more of a reason to get to the gym!

If you had a theme song, what would it be?……right now “hot potato, hot potato” lol!

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it: I had NO idea how big of a mom community there was on Instagram.  You can find tips, tricks and support literally everywhere you look, and that’s what I love! I wouldn’t say I have any mission behind my page, but I am as much as my quirky, sassy self as much as possible.  I love posting about local things to do with your kids, and maybe showing people from out of town some neat spots to check out! Lately I’ve been trying to post a little bit more about myself, and products I love as well.  I stand behind that I never wanted to lose myself in the midst of being a mom.  I’m a mom, and I love it and would NEVER change it, but…. I’m still me.   There was a me before motherhood, and that me is still here, and I think it’s important to still be you! @jessapeek  on Instagram

We Want You To Meet…

Name: Allison Panganiban

Age: 29

Kid(s) and Ages: Aiden – 11 Kato – 6 Jasper – 6 months

Where do you live? Winnipeg

Tell us a little bit about yourself…

Work life: I work as an adjudicator for the worker’s compensation board. I also have my own business doing eyelash extensions. On top of that I blog.

What has been the biggest reward of motherhood? Raising good people. I get to raise my boys and raise leaders for our future. Watching my kids grow and being able to teach them things and see them become little men has been one of my greatest joys.

What’s your best “mom-hack” you think other moms could benefit from? (We all one at least one time or sanity saving tip that everyone would want to know…spill it!) Always have a bag ready to go. I always have an extra bag full of everything we would need to leave in an instant and I leave it right by the door.

What is the best part about where you live? All of my family is here. My parents are ready to babysit for us at a drop of a hat and we have so much family support nearby.

Favorite thing to do with your kids in your hometown. We love going for coffee on coffee dates with the kids. The kids get their own special “babyccinos” when we go out.

Favorite date night in your hometown. There’s this place downtown called the Palm Lounge. On the weekends they play live music and the entire place has a classy vintage feel.

What are 5 things that you could not “mom” without?  I could not “mom” without my favourite items which would include: my baby carrier for hands-free chores, bumbo to put the baby down for just a minute, the play yard for perfect naps everywhere, our white noise machine for naps where we can make noise, and our comotomo baby bottles, the only ones my baby will use!

What are your 5 must-have items in your diaper bag? Kirkland wipes to clean up messes for all the kids, our bumco bum brushes, multiple teethers, sophie giraffe, and baby mum mum crackers

When you have time to yourself, what do you like to do? I love to unwind with coffee or a nice long shower.

Who are your “mom idols”?  @gofitjo @thebirdspapaya are a couple of my fav moms

Who is in your mom tribe and how did you meet them? @clairissacruz is one of my fam mommies. I’ve known her for the past 7 years and there’s no one better to vent to at 3am when your little one is up all night and shes up with you venting about how her baby has been up all night.

What is one piece of advice for new moms that you wish someone told you before motherhood? Give yourself a break, you’re only human, it’s only to get it wrong, it’s ok that your kid fell down or you’re not pumping 10 oz of breastmilk per pump. It’ll be okay and you’ll figure out what works for you anyways.

How do you balance it all? I have an amazing partner that basically just takes orders (lol) and my other kids are older now so they are able to help out a lot more. Other than that, it’s a lot of preplanning.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? Eye of the Tiger lol

Tell us a little bit about your blog/IG account/online persona and what is your mission behind it: I want to talk about the realness about being a mom, the experience and about loving yourself as much as you love your kids. I became a mother at 18 years old and have had 3 kids over the course of 11 years. There are so many challenges and kids are so different and it’s easy to lose yourself along the way. My Instagram to follow that journey is @mombossofboys
