Lindsay's Top Picks for Staying Warm this Winter
By Lindsay Pinchuk
Posted on January 13, 2020
Baby it’s cold outside, but BCB Founder + CEO Lindsay Pinchuk is sharing her family’s favorite products for staying warm all winter long. A Michigan native having lived in Chicago for almost twenty years, she’s a veteran when it comes to winter. Factor in the fact that her husband is from Montreal, Canada, and you’ve got not one, but two cold weather experts to tap in to.
Faux Sherpa Glove Mittens, $15.99: A favorite for now two years in a row, you’ll almost never seen Lindsay without these on a cold winter day. The best part—they won’t break the bank, so stock up in case one goes missing.
Nordic Boots, $198 (but now 30% off with the code LONGWKND) Anyone who knows Lindsay knows that she hates wearing socks—so it’s imperative to find boots and shoes that will keep her feet warm and cozy nonetheless. She got these at the end of the year a couple years ago…and only paid about $50 for them. They’re on sale now…but keep an eye out as the price is sure to drop.
Perfect Winter Parka, $350 (but now 50% off with the code LONGWKND) This coat is perfect because it’s good for cold weather, but also for that fall rainy and cold weather—you know, the bone chilling kind. The faux fur snaps off the hood making the coat even more versatile. Similar to the boots above, Lindsay snagged this one on a Black Friday sale for about $150 a couple of years ago.
Appaman Puffer, $125 (now on sale for $100) Every year on Black Friday Lindsay splurges and buys these coats for her girls. They last and last all season long and shhhh, don’t tell Lila (her younger daughter), she often gets a hand me down!
Color Block Scarf, $35 (now on sale for $19) You’ll almost never see Lindsay in the winter without a scarf. This is the latest to her collection, and it’s hard to believe that this one didn’t break the bank. It’s warm and cozy and the perfect accessory for the bitter cold.
Bogs Winter Boots, $80 (now on sale for $31.98) Lindsay almost always buys these during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale for her girls. They love them, they’re easy to put on and they keep they’re feet warm and dry all winter long. They were also just marked down making them a STEAL if we’ve ever seen one.
Girls’ Sequined Hat, $8.99 Another amazing accessory for the kids in your house. Same as above, stock up!
Camo Hat from Bolt Addiction, $20: The camo hat you see Lindsay sporting around town isn’t available anymore, but leave it to Beth at Bolt Addiction to find one just like it (and one that won’t break the bank!) Besides this amazing hat, you can stock up on amazing hats, gloves and SO MUCH MORE just for you at this awesome mom-run online shop.
Roots Cabin Sock Lounge Sock, $18.99 Lindsay LOVES bringing her favorite Canadian brands back from trips with her. Roots is no exception. Having grown up on their Cabin Socks at summer camp, these are a thicker version designed for keeping your toes warm when lounging around the house. (They’re also currently on sale AND they have a kids version.)
Fuzzy Faux Fur Throw, $34.99 You can never have too many warm, fuzzy, furry blankets in the winter. Are we right? This one is so soft and cozy and looks good in any room of the house.
Cozy Top and Pants, $39 for each (currently 40% off) With multiple patterns to choose from, this is the PERFECT set for lounging around the house, taking carpool, or sitting in the pick up line. PLUS, the huge sale doesn’t’ hurt one bit.
Moccasin Suede Slippers, $19.99 If you’re looking for a slipper that you can also run errands in, look no further. The memory foam keep them comfy, the faux fur keep them cozy.
Zella Maternity Leggings, $65 (currently 40% off) Lindsay wanted to throw this one in as a bonus. One of her favorite leggings are now available as maternity (she said they didn’t have these when she was pregnant.). Since they’re on sale, we had to share them!
