Name: Sabrina Bryan

Age:  35

Kid(s) and Ages: Currently Pregnant

Where do you live? Orange County, California

Ten years ago, what were you doing and how is that different from your life now?

Ten Years ago I hadn’t met my husband just yet. I was living with my best friend, Kiely Willaims (fellow The Cheetah Girls co-star), in Los Angeles. We were in the mix of starting to write and produce together. We filmed a series called “Dinner with Friends” for our YouTube Channel. I was single and waiting for the next big chapter of my life to start!!

What are FIVE must-have products that have gotten you through the last decade?

  1. IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Cream, it’s a game changer!
  2. Neutrogena Daily Facial Cleanser (since I was 12!!).
  3. Nike running shoes, I wear them almost everyday for either working out or dancing.
  4. Fanola Reconstructing Serum has changed my hair.
  5. Aloe Water added to my morning beverage. Calms and coats my stomach throughout the day

Give us your NUMBER ONE TIP for practicing self-care:

Meditation of any sort. I like to do it during cardio, journaling, or prayer. Just finding a time away from your surrounding to gear your thoughts towards either your goals or any conflict you may have, or focusing on the most current things you are grateful for.

What are the top three registry items from your baby registry?

I haven’t gotten too far with my registry yet, however I’m in love with the Itzy Ritzy Boss Diaper Bag and all of their accessories! I’ve heard amazing things about Nuna Strollers. I have also fallen in love with the Graco Pack ‘N Play Playard!!

What are your FAVORITE beauty products and why?

  1. DNA Skin Institute Super Phyto Rich Moisturizer.  I completely rejuvenates my skin and feels light and fresh to wear day and night.
  2. The IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Cream completely conceals any puffiness or blemishes.
  3. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is silky and smooth on the face, gives your skin a glitz of color and also had an SPF 20 in it to protect your skin.
  4. L’Oreal Original Voluminous Mascara…it’s the best!
  5. Fanola Nutri Care Reconstructing Serum. I use it with every blow dry. Whether it’s straight out of the shower or I’m just retouching my front pieces. This serum keeps my hair silky, strong, and doesn’t let the heat damage my hair.

What was the number one surprise about motherhood?

I never disregarded how tiring pregnancy was, however I did anticipate it to be later on in the process. I was hit hard with an extreme lack of energy around six and a half weeks. I was just not ready for it to be so consuming. I think I was under the assumption that the exhaustion came from when you’re farther along and your body has transformed so much so it’s hard to move around and stay active. I was just a month and a half in asking myself what the heck is going on!! I had to be reminded, guess what you’re creating a child in there!! Lol!

What would you tell yourself ten years ago?

When I was in my mid twenties, most of the friends I grew up with were already settling down in relationships, getting married, and starting families. I was so far away from that chapter of my life that I thought by the time I had kids all of my friends’ kids would be so much older than mine. Now that I’m having kids I have so many close friends who are also pregnant! It’s been so fun having a community of women around me going through the same journey!

What’s the one piece of advice you would like to share with other expecting or new moms?

We will all make mistakes as we learn how to care for our little ones. The most important thing is to lift each other up. There are a million different ways to raise children, and although we don’t have to agree on every detail, we do need to support the efforts we are all taking to build the next generation!

What’s one message that you think ALL WOMEN should hear?

That women are powerful. There are no limits to what we can do. We need to support, love, and encourage to continue pushing the boundaries!
